It all began in 1963 when Engineer Alberto “Tito” Zuccardi, obsessed with the constant fight against the desert in Mendoza, planted our family’s first vineyard to showcase the advantages of a new irrigation system he had invented. This led him to discover his true passion for viticulture, paving the way for the generations that followed.
In 1985, his son José Alberto assumed responsibility for leading the family business. Like his father, José Alberto´s innovative and visionary spirit have made him one of Argentina’s most enthusiastic wine ambassadors, elevating our winery and the Argentine wine industry to the highest global recognition.
In 2007, we planted our first vineyards in Canal Uco, Paraje Altamira, and gradually added new vineyards such as Piedra Infinita and Los Membrillos – also in Paraje Altamira – Las Cuchillas in San Pablo, and Las Cerrilladas and Agua de La Jarilla in Gualtallary.
In 1999, Sebastián – José Alberto’s son and Tito’s grandson – embarked on a personal project with several friends to craft sparkling wines in the Uco Valley. A few years later, he joined the family winery, leading our development in the high mountain region of the Uco Valley.
In 2009, Sebastián founded the Research and Development department with the aim of deepening the study of the different soils and other variables of the Uco Valley terroir, and their impact on the wines. His team’s work, exploring and uncovering the richness of the region, with its diverse soils, landscapes, and climates, has enabled us to cultivate wines with identity, truly reflecting a sense of place.
The same year, Wine Enthusiast named Zuccardi Valle de Uco “New World Winery of the Year.” The World’s Best Vineyards selected us as the Best Vineyard in the World for three consecutive years (2019-2020-2021), and then in 2022, welcomed us into the Hall of Fame.
In 2022, we became the only winery in Argentina with three wines awarded 100 points by Robert Parker | Wine Advocate, putting the Paraje Altamira region on the map of the world’s best terroirs.
Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita Altamira is made from 100 percent Malbec.
Deep red in color, the Zuccardi Finca Piedra Infinita Altamira expresses great fruity character with notes of red fruit. Grand structure and acidity on the palate with mineral with notes of wet stone and graphite and a long finish.
Review:
Quiet complexity that needs time in the glass. While it is brooding and deep, there is also a perfumed, floral and herbal aspect that makes it so attractive and unforgettable, even at such an embryonic stage. Freshly crushed blueberries, dried licorice, decadent violets, crushed stones and ash on the nose. Satin-textured tannins on the palate, which are tense, chalky and seamless. Powerful and juicy with impeccable balance. A great, cerebral and intrinsic malbec from Argentina. You can drink now, if you want, but it is a wine that you’d want to keep for the next two decades. A real charmer, especially for the wine nerds. Buy this and try!

"The brioche and cooked-apple and cream character really comes through here. Full-bodied and round with fine bubbles. Flavorful and intense. Vivid, bread-dough finish. This is four years on lees. 55% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot."

Double Diamond by Schrader Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon offers concentration, lively acidity, and refined tannins that have become the hallmark of the 2022 vintage. The nose holds notes of black raspberry, toasted cedar, juicy plum, and pennyroyal mint—a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon signature. The palate is mouthwatering with intricately woven layers of blackberry compote, dark chocolate shavings, oolong tea, and flint. The dynamic flavors carry across the mid-palate in vivid harmony into a long, floral finish. This wine is ready to drink upon release but will cellar well for years to come.
