Tenute Salvaterra is located in the heart of Valpolicella, in the magnificent Villa Giona, dating back to the sixteenth century, in San Pietro in Cariano. The Company was established in the nineties by the Furia Family in Valgatara, in the heart of Valpolicella. Over the years, it has rapidly developed becoming one of the landmark Wineries in Valpolicella, leader in drying techniques to produce Amarone, Ripasso and other wines of the same category.

The Grande Valpolicella extends towards Eastern Verona and Valpolicella Classica of Tenute di Prun and Cengia. On the hills of all these valleys they cultivate the most famous native grapes of the Verona area - Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella - along with a few other minor varieties.

Ancient Vineyard Rested Veneto Red
bright ruby color. The nose evolves bright cherry, wildberries, and a touch of spice. The palate is deep and rich, with a long-lasting finish.
Antica Vigna Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore is made from 50% Corvina, 45% Rondinella and 5% Merlot.
Ripasso Superiore DOC is an elegant and refined wine, showing a beautiful and intense ruby color. Spicy, with cherry hints and wild berries notes, it features great personality and complexity. In the palate it is rich, very fruity, elegant and still young but already very well-orchestrated, with the typical notes of wild berries that blend well with the complexity of the wine.
20% in steel· 80% in wood for 6 months of which 2/3 in American and French barriques, half of which are used for the second and third time 1/3 in large barrels
Aging:
Fermentation time: about 7/10 days the first and 15 days the second.
Fermentation: at a controlled temperature of 18/20° and second fermentation on the skins of Amarone at 18/20°C.
Vinification: soft crushing of destemmed grapes to obtain Valpolicella.
Drying: the grapes are not dried but vinified fresh.
Harvest: mid-September with manual harvesting of the grapes.

Salvaterra Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is made from 65% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 5% Oseleta.
Perfume of cherries, cocoa, tobacco and black pepper. On the palate it is complex and deep, elegant and robust at the same time, harmonious and with an excellent tannin.
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is "the essence of the territory", structured but also fresh at the same time.
Pairs with red meats, aged cheese, dark chocolate, cigars.

Abundant lively red cherries, plums and mellow milk choolate with a energetic and powerful structure, an elegant frame of velvety tannins and an attractive balsamic finish.

Imperial Stag Malbec is made from 100 percent Malbec.
Intense and bright ruby red color. Aromas of ripe fruit with spicy notes of eucalyptus and licorice. Vanilla and tobacco aromas contributed by the ageing in French oak barrels. Good volume on the palate, balanced, intense with great concentration, sweet flavors, with rotund tannins polished with elegance and sophistication.
Perfect companion for red and game meats, pasta, stews, rice and a variety of winter cuisine dishes.

There's a texture, weight and self-confidence about the Imperial Stag reds that I find really appealing. Stylishly oaked in 85% new barrels, it combines aromas of violet, liquorice and coffee bean with a palate of cassis, blackberry and fresh green herbs, sculpted tannins and a refreshing, tapering finish. 2025-32

Lastly, and a wine that will be a candidate for perfection in 4-5 years, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Centenaire reveals a deep ruby/purple hue as well as extraordinary notes of black cherries, licorice, iron, nori, and peppery garrigue. As with the base 2019, the estate did an incredible job with the tannins, and this wine is flawlessly balanced, with ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and the sheer class to evolve for 25+ years. This is a perfect example of power with no sensation of weight or heaviness. The blend in 2019 is 84% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre, and 6% Syrah, and it wasn’t destemmed and was brought up mostly in concrete tanks, with just 6% in very old barrels.
