Roero Arneis is the white grape version of Roero. The DOCG is located in the Piedmont region of Italy. The terroir of Roero is known for chalky and sandy soils that yield wine with acidity and structure. It is just North of Alba. 425 hectares are designated for the Arneis grape variety. The area is named after the family that ruled over the lands in ancient feudal times. The white is required to be made of 100% Arneis and aged for eight months at the very least. The aroma of the wine is most well-known, having notes of white flowers, and flavors of apples, pears, apricots, hazlenuts, and almonds. The Roero Arneis presents with full body with a long finish.

Turley Zinfandel Buck Cobb is made from 100 percent Zinfandel.
Organically farmed head-trained vines planted at 1500' in the granite and quartz soils of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Primarily savory and red-fruited, with characteristics of black pepper, dried meats and fine-grained tannin texture.
This would be an excellent pairing with wood-fired pizza.
Review:
The 2023 Zinfandel Buck Cobb Vineyard is bold, juicy and expressive. Dark cherry, plum, gravel, spice, herbs and lavender are front and center. This shows terrific depth and plenty of character to match its exuberant personality.
